Over-Pressure Rings for KF flanges
Over-pressure rings create a barrier on the outer diameter of the elastomer sealing ring to prevent “blow out” due to the presence of pressures greater than 1 standard atmosphere within a system. A centring ring assembly with an over-pressure ring can withstand up to 100psi of pressure depending on the size of the flange you are using.
LewVac CNC machined clamps have a built-in over- pressure ring design. With the use of these clamps there is no need for the added expense of an over pressure ring addition to the centring ring assembly.
