Kapton^® insulated wires

LewVac can supply a range of Kapton^® insulated wires and ribbon cables prepared for use in UHV environments, at temperatures up to 260°C. Wires are constructed using silver plated copper conductors, insulated with Kapton^® type-F film, which is subsequently treated for vacuum use. Coaxial cables are sheathed with silver plated copper braid, and again insulated with Kapton^® type-F film as required.

Kapton^® insulated ribbon cables are made from multiple Kapton^® insulated wires, ‘stitched’ together using a PEEK^® (Polyether-Etherketone) ‘thread’. These ribbon cables, complement our range of sub-miniature C & D feedthroughs and in-vacuum connectors.
