LewVac can supply a range of Kapton® insulated wires and ribbon cables prepared for use in UHV environments, at temperatures up to 260°C. Wires are constructed using silver plated copper conductors, insulated with Kapton® type-F film, which is subsequently treated for vacuum use. Coaxial cables are sheathed with silver plated copper braid, and again insulated with Kapton® type-F film as required. Kapton® insulated ribbon cables are made from multiple Kapton® insulated wires, ‘stitched’ together using a PEEK® (Polyether-Etherketone) ‘thread’. These ribbon cables, complement our range of sub-miniature C & D feedthroughs and in-vacuum connectors. Teflon insulated wires are also available.
